The Role

Andreessen Horowitz (a16z) is looking for a hands-on, high-energy intern to support the Investor Relations team in building AI-driven and data-enabled products that help us better serve our limited partners and scale internal operations. This intern will work closely with the team responsible for the firm’s CRM systems, fundraise analytics, and internal tooling - and play a key role in developing smarter, faster ways to operate across our fundraising and LP engagement workflows.

To join our team, you should be excited to:

  • Own and deliver scoped data and AI projects that improve the efficiency of investor relations workflows (e.g., fundraise tracking, LP segmentation, data modeling, AI tool development)
  • Collaborate with Investor Relations, Data, and tech teams to understand pain points and translate them into technical solutions
  • Design and implement prototypes or internal tools using AI and data analytics capabilities 
  • Clean, structure, and analyze operational data to improve insight generation, reporting, and workflow automation
  • Create documentation, chatbots, or lightweight UIs that improve visibility into fundraise performance, LP behavior, or fund activity
  • Stay highly responsive and adaptive to fast-evolving needs across multiple stakeholders

Minimum Qualifications

  • A builder’s mindset with a bias for action and attention to detail
  • Familiarity with data analysis and/or data engineering (SQL, Python, dbt, etc.)
  • Comfort working with or integrating AI tools (OpenAI/GPT APIs, Zapier, no-code tools, etc.)
  • Strong project ownership and ability to manage timelines independently
  • Clear, concise communication and a collaborative, can-do attitude
  • Interest in venture capital, LP management, or operational innovation in finance is a plus

The anticipated hourly rate for this role is $55.00 - $60.00, actual starting pay may vary based on a range of factors which can include experience, skills, and scope.
