About This Role

This position is exclusively open to students pursuing a university degree. 

Internship dates: January 5th to April 24th 2026 (Full time and could turn into part-time after the summer session)

The role we are offering you:

By joining our team, you will have the opportunity to be at the forefront of developing leading edge training devices for pilots and aircrew for defence and security, contributing to the safety of aviation worldwide.

  • Avionics systems – systems used for flight management and processing of information displayed to pilots (navigation, automatic pilot, flight and system parameters, flight plan, and fault management)

Are you ready to:

  • Investigate and resolve all the deficiencies identified during the validation phase

  • Review and analyse technical documentation from aircraft manufacturers

  • Integration of the simulated models, along with real aircraft components into a training device

  • Write test procedures to validate the functionality of the systems

  • Develop simulation models for systems, following the Agile methodology

  • Develop unit tests to ensure code coverage and quality

Our ideal candidate has:

  • Knowledge of C and C++ programming languages is essential.

  • Knowledge of C# programming language is an asset.

  • Knowledge of REST API is an asset.

  • Knowledge of systems/protocols is an asset.

  • Good interpersonal skills and team player

  • Leadership qualities

  • Organization and time management skills

  • Bilingual (French, English) is essential

Preferred Education

  • Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in engineering, preferably electrical, mechanical, aeronautical, software or computer-related

Location of the internship is CAE Montreal.

Internship will be carried out in hybrid mode.

*All applicants must be legally entitled to work in Canada and must meet the requirements of the Canadian Controlled Goods Program (CGP). All hires will be required to complete, sign and return the Controlled Goods Program form within a week of its transmittal. They must also provide a copy of their passport or birth certificate. All students with a work permit must provide a copy of it and a police clearance certificate from the country or countries where they have resided in the past five years.

*Please take note that if you are on a student, work or international student permit, the delays for the security background check take minimum 16 weeks.
