What You Will Do:

Modify/create engineering design documentation.
Debug and integrate software components.
Support and enhance existing software products as necessary.
Collaborate with Software Engineers, Testers, Hardware Engineers, and Project Engineers.
Design, develop, implement, test, and debug software applications
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Drive and self-motivation
Ability to prioritize and multi-task
Disciplined approach to developing high quality software
All work is onsite at our Richardson, TX facility

What You Will Learn:

You will have opportunity to learn and grow knowledge within the Strategic Nuclear Deterrence domains & gain niche skills enabling you to be unique in all you do..
You will gain valuable experience & an opportunity to collaborate with other Senior and Principal Level Software Engineers, Product Owner and Software Leads
You will learn the software development process, to include working with software requirements, verification and test phases, etc.
You can take flight to becoming a subject matter expert and leader in communication technologies with exposure to the variety of business and products in an ever-evolving field. We are growing, so can you.

Qualifications You Must Have:

Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and student must be pursuing a Bachelor’s or advanced degree in an applicable discipline.
U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Qualifications We Prefer:

Experience with Agile development practices
Experience with Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence, Git)
Experience developing for Linux platforms
Object oriented design and UML modelling
Understanding of Virtual Machines
Understanding of Containers and Containers orchestration.
Understanding of microservices.
Target based debugging experience
Experience performing static and dynamic code analysis
Understanding of well-disciplined in software engineering processes and methodologies
Understanding of well-disciplined configuration management practices
Understanding of software quality processes including software peer reviews
Proficiency in industry standard software development tools (such as Subversion, Git, Enterprise Architect, Coverity or equivalents)
Developing software for military applications and/or experience of working government programs

The salary range for this role is 37,000 USD - 82,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays.
