What You Will Do:
- Modify/create engineering design documentation.
- Debug and integrate software components.
- Support and enhance existing software products as necessary.
- Collaborate with Software Engineers, Testers, Hardware Engineers, and Project Engineers.
- Design, develop, implement, test, and debug software applications
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Drive and self-motivation
- Ability to prioritize and multi-task
- Disciplined approach to developing high quality software
- All work is onsite at our Richardson, TX facility
What You Will Learn:
- You will have opportunity to learn and grow knowledge within the Strategic Nuclear Deterrence domains & gain niche skills enabling you to be unique in all you do..
- You will gain valuable experience & an opportunity to collaborate with other Senior and Principal Level Software Engineers, Product Owner and Software Leads
- You will learn the software development process, to include working with software requirements, verification and test phases, etc.
- You can take flight to becoming a subject matter expert and leader in communication technologies with exposure to the variety of business and products in an ever-evolving field. We are growing, so can you.
Qualifications You Must Have:
- Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and student must be pursuing a Bachelor’s or advanced degree in an applicable discipline.
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
Qualifications We Prefer:
- Experience with Agile development practices
- Experience with Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence, Git)
- Experience developing for Linux platforms
- Object oriented design and UML modelling
- Understanding of Virtual Machines
- Understanding of Containers and Containers orchestration.
- Understanding of microservices.
- Target based debugging experience
- Experience performing static and dynamic code analysis
- Understanding of well-disciplined in software engineering processes and methodologies
- Understanding of well-disciplined configuration management practices
- Understanding of software quality processes including software peer reviews
- Proficiency in industry standard software development tools (such as Subversion, Git, Enterprise Architect, Coverity or equivalents)
- Developing software for military applications and/or experience of working government programs
