Producer Analyst Intern - Dairy
Hiring Manager: Sr. Market Advisor
Location of Internship: on site, Chicago, IL (candidates must already reside within a commutable distance to our office in Chicago or have the means to fund their relocation for the summer. No housing assistance is provided for this position.)
Full Time: 35-40 hours per week
This is a 12 week internship starting May 26, 2026 and concluding on August 14, 2026. Candidates must be currently enrolled in an accredited degree program with a graduation date after August of 2026 to be considered.
Summary
As a Producer Analyst Intern in the Dairy sector, you will leverage your skills and education to learn the how to use futures, options, and insurance products in order to educate clients and potential clients. Additionally, you’ll work with Marketing Advisors to learn how to partner with clients to assess price risk in their operation and to develop and execute their individual marketing/risk management plan.
What are some potential projects?
· Milk Pricing mechanics
· Milk price formulas
· Hedging 101 - futures, options and insurance
· How to use vault (costs of production analysis and hedge implementation)
What competencies can you expect to receive/improve?
You can expect to learn the fundamental elements of supply and demand of the dairy market. You can also expect to have an understanding of futures, options and spot, the tools Ever.Ag uses to manage our customers’ price exposure to the market.
About You (Qualifications):
· Currently enrolled in an accredited college program in Agriculture with relevant classes in Finance, Accounting, Business, or Economics
· Intermediate experience working with data, spreadsheet and generating reports (Excel)
· Background in agriculture is REQUIRED
· Knowledge of futures/options is a plus
About the team:
Our producer and commercial teams are spread around the country with a core sector based in Chicago, and are mostly made up of transplants from all over the US. The team has a deep passion for the dairy industry and managing price risk for the firm's clients. The office is located 1 block north of the Chicago Board of Trade, the heart of agriculture finance.
