An internship with the Technology department provides insight into what sets us apart from others in the industry. Members of the team may be involved in requirements analysis, design, development, testing, implementation, and/or support of products that meet the Firm’s critical business needs. Utilizing the best available, proven technology, we provide high-quality, cost-effective, and timely solutions for our clients. Our services are at the core of BBH’s superior client service, enabling team members to respond quickly and effectively to address client needs.

What you can expect from a Technology Internship with BBH:

  • Becoming part of vibrant functional team of technology professionals and working closely with technology leaders and senior developers to build systems used globally by our employees and clients

Software Development, Business Analysis, and Application Testing Roles:

  • Exposure to different areas of the software development life cycle (SDLC)
  • Exposure to Project Management Methodologies and the various tools used to support them
  • Supporting business requirements discovery and creating requirements documentation through close cooperation with the product owners and software development teams
  • Aiding in planning meetings, preparation of materials, and participation in meetings with business users and/or vendors
  • Analyzing proposed changes or technical issues to be fixed, and helping with solutioning and troubleshooting
  • Involvement in design process and technical specification documentation which may include data modeling, dataflow diagramming, screen design, workflow analysis, etc.
  • Participation in development process and systems testing, and exposure to development and automation tools

Infrastructure Roles:

  • Learn Vendor Management skills
  • Understand IT Strategy and Management
  • Manage technology on premise and cloud working alongside IT Engineers
  • Hands on experience with Linux, containers, virtual hypervisors, PowerShell, SCCM Administration & Intune
  • Troubleshoot systems and equipment problems, identify causes, and recommend solutions
  • Exposure to software automation via scripting
  • Gain understanding of Windows & Application Security Patching across multiple device types

Cyber Security Roles:

  • Work with tools for identifying the firm’s security vulnerabilities
  • Hands on experience with security vulnerability remediation and troubleshooting, collaborating with application and operation systems teams and vendors
  • Recommend and apply best practices for addressing ongoing threats
  • Support and contribute to the maturity of the configuration management program by collaborating with remediation teams and working to expand our footprint and harden our infrastructure components to reduce risk
  • Engage in security investigations utilizing various detection tools
  • Participate in discussions around security events and activities with various non-technical and technical parties
  • Collaborate with teams to manage security investigations and provide prevention solutions for cyber threat

What the Technology group looks for in an Intern:

  • Current Junior in College, entering senior year in Fall of 2026 with a background in and passion for Computer Science or Information Technology
  • Strong academic achievement as evidenced through a GPA of 3.3 or higher
  • Ability to analyze business processes to identify patterns, trends, and opportunities for improvement
  • Experience or interest in working with large quantities of information for analysis
  • Demonstrated leadership skills through academic and extracurricular activities
  • Outstanding communication skills, written and verbal; ability to explain technical issues in simple terms
  • Demonstrated ability to think creatively and strategically, both independently and as part of a team
  • Sound judgment and demonstrated ability to identify, escalate and resolve a problem
  • Ability to prioritize competing demands and manage multiple deadlines
  • Intermediate proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint - Comfortable using common formulas (e.g., VLOOKUP, IF), building basic charts, and creating/manipulating pivot tables for simple analysis.
  • Knowledge of SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle), Technology design, Agile development and Programming skills (e.g. Java, SQL)
  • Experience with/knowledge of the following a plus for infrastructure roles:
    • Windows operating systems and software applications
    • Security vulnerability monitoring and reporting tools
    • Microsoft Azure
    • Working with containers

Salary Range

$25/hr + sign on

BBH’s compensation program includes base salary, discretionary bonuses, and profit-sharing. The anticipated base salary range(s) shown above are only for the indicated location(s) and may differ in other locations due to cost of living and labor considerations. Base salaries may vary based on factors such as skill, experience and qualification for the role.
