THE ROLE Our site in Bedford, MA is seeking a/an UPE Process Engineering Co-Op to join our team for the Spring 2026 season. This assignment is intended to be 6 months in duration. This role will aid the process engineer in driving process improvements, maintaining SOPs and training, and supporting the day-to-day troubleshooting and work on the line. Typical improvement efforts will improve quality, drive down cost and/or increase output. What You’ll Do • Develop plan for updating Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) as needed • Data mining and analysis in Minitab • Make conclusions recommendations based on data analysis • Perform yield analysis • Participate in Gemba walks and look for lean and safety improvements • Perform membrane characterization testing What We Seek • Data-driven and hands-on approach • Proficient in Excel. • Ability to complete tasks in timely manner • Knowledge of Minitab or willingness to learn • Curiosity, asking questions, and providing your input to the team • Ability to drive tasks independently and work in a team environment Desired Major(s) & Graduation Year • Working toward a degree in chemical, mechanical or similar engineering • Graduation date of Spring 2026 or later Eligibility • Must be a currently enrolled student • Available to work 40 hours a week, M-F (8a-5p) beginning in January through June. • Must be familiar with the universities requirements to participate in a co-op program • PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Ability to stand for portions of the day and lift rolls up to about 10 lbs.
