Position Summary:
We are seeking a motivated Industrial Engineering Intern to join our team in a highly automated manufacturing facility specializing in packaging operations. This role provides hands-on exposure to industrial engineering practices within a robotics-driven environment. The intern will support process optimization, data analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives while gaining practical experience in advanced automation and manufacturing systems.
Qualifications:
· Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field.
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret data and propose solutions.
· Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement principles (coursework or project experience preferred).
· Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and data analysis tools; exposure to CAD, Power BI, or simulation software a plus.
· Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
· Interest in automation, robotics, and advanced manufacturing technologies.

Learning Outcomes:
By the end of the internship, the intern will gain:

Key Responsibilities:
· Assist Industrial Engineers in analyzing packaging processes, identifying inefficiencies, and recommending improvements.
· Collect, organize, and interpret production and operational data to support process optimization.
· Participate in time studies, line balancing, and workflow analysis to improve throughput and efficiency.
· Support the implementation of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies in daily operations.
· Collaborate with operations, maintenance, and engineering teams to monitor robotic and automated packaging equipment performance.
· Assist in the development of standard work instructions, visual management tools, and process documentation.
· Contribute to projects involving cost reduction, waste elimination, and productivity improvement.
· Gain exposure to safety, quality, and compliance standards in a manufacturing environment.
