Consulting Internship: Software Engineering

CapTech is looking for undergraduate Juniors that are passionate about technology with a desire to solve complex business and technical problems to join our internship program, Elevate.

Elevate provides meaningful immersion into the full life cycle of a typical IT consulting project. This unique 10-week program takes place in person in our Richmond, Virginia Headquarters and simulates a client engagement where one can achieve a full understanding of the consulting experience while solving relevant client problems. Interns work in self-led teams and are paired with full-time consultants for guidance and mentorship. Additionally, interns enjoy weekly lunch-and-learns with our leadership team. CapTech interns are given the opportunity to build something that matters and create impactful value.

Some of the responsibilities you could have over the summer are:

• Designing and developing applications with leading front-end and back-end technologies in web, mobile, cloud, web services, and/or DevOps
• Partnering with client stakeholders to build systems in new and innovative ways 
• Manage parallel development and code versioning with Git

Qualifications

We are seeking software engineers for Summer 2026 who will work on integrated teams to  design and implement a solution to a business problem over the course of the summer using development platforms and languages. Characteristics of a qualified candidate include:

• Current undergraduates with expected graduation dates in December 2026 - May 2027 who will be seeking full-time work after graduation
• Demonstrated an ability to be self motivated contributors in a team environment
• Project or internship experience utilizing development platforms and languages such as Java, .NET, C#, C++, Go, Android, iOS, JavaScript, React, Angular, Node.js, AWS, and Azure
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• All majors welcome to apply; Computer Science, BIT, Systems Engineering majors preferred but not required
• Ability to work in person in Richmond, VA from June 1 - August 7, 2026
