Overview
The Catering & Convention Services Coordinator is responsible for assisting with arrangements, coordinating, qualifying sales leads and conducting follow ups for catering and convention services.
Hourly Rate $20/hour - $23/hour
Responsibilities
- A warm personality, attentive, and presentable with a commitment to delivering high levels of customer service.
- Responds courteously and efficiently to sales queries and/or problems from guests, and all staff.
- Generates BEOs for all In-House events and support of Catering Sales Manager & Convention Service Manager
- Distributes BEO’s, Resumes, daily reader boards and change logs
- Generates Site Alert and Preplanning Alert invites for Catering Sales Manager & Convention Service Manager
- Creates file folders and labels for all turnovers
- Shells ALL resumes for Catering and Conference Services
- Completes all amenity requests for catering and conference services team and the sales managers, set-up calendar invites for RB&E & FD team, add notes into Alice and create amenity cards
- Creates pre-con binders and sends out pre-con invites for Catering and Convention Service Managers
- Will assist on site walk-throughs should CSM team not be available
- Maintains Office Supply Par for Sales and Convention Services Team
- Assists with Food Labels and Signage for Banquets
- Ability to effectively deal with internal and external customers, some of whom will require high levels of patience, tact, and diplomacy to defuse anger, collect accurate information, and resolve conflicts.
- Computer knowledge and ability: Word; Excel; PowerPoint; Delphi; Canva
Qualifications
Flexibility. This is a demanding business and it requires you manage multiple priorities while meeting varying deadlines, but it’s also a lot of fun! Experience. Previous experience passionately providing service to others and providing administrative support in a team oriented environment, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail. People Person. The best part of serving others is creating experiences for them that go beyond the expected. Great communicator. Providing amazing experiences requires the ability to communicate fluently in English both verbally and through excellent written communication. A qualified applicant is a “people person” who is flexible, can manage multiple demands, loves to serve others, and has proven computer, sales, and customer service skills.
