Intern AI Data Analyst
As the Intern AI Data Analyst, you will support the Registry Build Team in creating and maintaining clinical registries while contributing to AI model validation and quality assurance. This entry-level role sits at the intersection of healthcare data and artificial intelligence, offering a unique opportunity to learn from both technical and clinical experts. You will work closely with engineering, AI specialists, and clinical teams to ensure our AI-powered healthcare solutions meet the highest standards of accuracy and compliance.
This position is fully remote and reports directly to the Applied AI Applications Manager within the Engineering organization.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the development and maintenance of registry schemas, ensuring accuracy and consistency with registry requirements
- Collaborate with clinical SMEs to test and validate model outputs against ground truths
- Assist in developing validation datasets and monitoring model performance metrics
- Identify and document data inconsistencies, missing values, and outliers in healthcare data
- Conduct exploratory data analysis to inform registry design and improvement initiatives
- Participate in quality assurance processes for AI-powered features
- Follow compliance and privacy guidelines (HIPAA, relevant data regulations)
What You'll Need
- Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Health Informatics, Biomedical Sciences, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 0–2 years of experience in data analysis, preferably in healthcare or life sciences
- Basic proficiency in Python, SQL, or other data analysis tools
- Familiarity with healthcare data standards and terminology is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a remote team environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with clinical registry data or healthcare datasets
- Exposure to AI/ML concepts and workflows
- Familiarity with FHIR, HL7, or other interoperability standards
- Prior internship or project experience in healthcare technology

This is an hourly role with an expectation of 40 hours per week. Hourly rate is XX.
