Join Bristol Myers Squibb’s Global Procurement team for a 10-week paid summer internship, designed for students majoring in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Operations Management, or related fields. Interns will work on impactful projects supporting our medicines and participate in an orientation covering company structure, products, and brands.

Throughout the internship, you’ll receive coaching and guidance from program directors, sponsors, and engagement managers within the BMS Global Procurement community, participate in an orientation covering our company structure, products, and brands, and gain a comprehensive introduction to BMS Procurement. The program also offers exposure to senior leadership, developmental feedback, and opportunities for teambuilding and networking with professionals across BMS, including our Finance team, providing a valuable platform to develop your skills, expand your professional network, and explore a future career in procurement within a leading global biopharmaceutical company.

The starting hourly compensation for this assignment is within the range of $21.00 to $30.00/hr. Please note that the final individual compensation and any applicable benefits will be determined by your employer of record (and not BMS). Factors influencing this decision may include the characteristics of the assignment, such as demonstrated experience, required skill, and the geographic location of the job. Compensation details are subject to change.

Program DatesMonday June 1, 2026 - Friday, August 7, 2026. Applications are currently being accepted and may be selected on a rolling basis. Locations include Lawrenceville, NJ, Princeton, NJ, New Brunswick, NJ or Tampa, FL.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute category strategy activities under the guidance of operations and strategic category leaders

  • Perform value analysis on costs and supplier quotes

  • Recommend process improvements for efficiency

  • Manage day-to-day supply issues and communicate information to internal customers and suppliers

  • Support PO conversion and other non-transactional tasks

  • Communicate issues to leadership and drive for resolution

  • Manage PO changes and communicate trends

Eligibility:

  • Applicants must be currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program majoring in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Operations Management, or related fields at an accredited institution, with an expected graduation date of Spring 2027 or later.  Students graduating in Spring or Summer 2026 may apply only if they plan to continue their education into Fall 2026.

  • All candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S. both at the time of hire and for the duration of their employment. Please note that immigration or visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

  • Must include GPA on resume for consideration - minimum GPA 3.0

  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.

  • Proven capability to effectively communicate within work and/or academic environments, with the ability to adapt messages to suit various audiences.

  • Demonstrated leadership in academic, extracurricular, or professional settings

  • Internship experience in procurement, finance, or supply chain

  • Experience analyzing large data sets

  • Effective project management and cross-departmental communication

Compensation Overview:

The starting compensation range(s) for this role are listed above for a full-time employee (FTE) basis. Additional incentive cash and stock opportunities (based on eligibility) may be available. The starting pay rate takes into account characteristics of the job, such as required skills, where the job is performed, the employee’s work schedule, job-related knowledge, and experience. Final, individual compensation will be decided based on demonstrated experience.
