Within the Reliability & Maintenance Systems Team at Ballydine, Co. Tipperary we are offering a fantastic opportunity for a minimum of six months internship focussed primarily on Asset Reliability Engineering & Maintenance Systems.

About the Engineering Internship:

As a student working within the Reliability & Systems Team, you will be responsible for the support to the Reliability & Systems Lead, Senior Reliability Engineer’s, Maintenance Specialist’s focussed on the equipment compliance and reliability of all installations and equipment that fall under the management of the team for all areas of the plant.

This includes from production manufacturing plants to utility support equipment. You will work in a structured program working with the team in compliance adherence and solving problems using Lean Tools such 5 Why, 8 Step Problem Solving and with the goal of improving technical performance of equipment and remaining compliant to relevant codes and standards.

Your tasks will include:

  • You will support the analysis of the technical performance of the equipment assets so that they continue to perform better to meet the current requirements regarding quality and safety through technical enhancement capital projects. Proprietary
  • You will support the team to build convincing business cases to obtain the resources needed to realize (improvement) projects and to be involved in technical discussions to learn and grow your Engineering experience.
  • You will become more familiar with standards, procedures and guidelines as applicable within our organization and the pharmaceutical industry.
  • You will support the team in the drafting of and review of technical documents in Engineering disciplines to broaden your knowledge and experience and including reviews of qualification documents received on systems for proposed changes and applicable upgrade projects.
  • You will support the team writing business cases for improvement projects, helping to find out the true asset integrity condition on systems from surveys by external service providers, helping to draw up required deliverables and supporting and assisting the team in the development and implementation of the proposed improvements on the factory floor areas.
  • You will be supporting the team with initiating continuous improvements that may be required in maintenance task job plans.
  • Granted the opportunity to learn how team functions on daily basis with Tier Board meetings involvement with Reliability team and help action follow through and close out of any related actions.

Your Profile:

  • Currently pursuing Engineering Degree – ideally Mechanical, Electrical, Process, Chemical, Physics & Instrumentation or Mechatronics.
  • Enjoy analysing data and using Lean Tools to Problem Solve to gain robust corrective action solutions.
  • Good computer skills familiar with Microsoft Suite – Excel, Word, Teams and good communication skills in English, both verbally and in writing.
