Northrop Grumman is seeking students interested in a career in the Defense Industry or with interest in National Security Policy for an internship opportunity. This position will be located at our Defense Systems Sector in Mesa, AZ.

The qualified candidate will become part of Northrop Grumman’s International Trade Compliance team.

Basic Qualifications

A candidate must meet ALL of the below criteria. The candidate must:

  • Be a student who is enrolled full-time and pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree from an accredited college/university and will be enrolled full time in Fall 2026.
  • Be majoring in Law, Political Science, International Trade or Business and have an interest in international relations, national security, regulatory affairs and compliance.
  • Be available to work full-time (40 hours per week) for at least 10 weeks during summer 2026.
  • Be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite) as well as Program Special access within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needs.
  • Have strong analytical, organizational and written communication skills.


Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Have an overall cumulative GPA of 3.0/4.0 or higher
  • Strong Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) skills
  • Interest in data analysis and metrics
  • Professional working proficiency in a language other than English

The pay ranges for this specific opportunity are as follows:

  • Undergraduate degrees (Including graduating students planning on attending/enrolled in a full-time Master’s program): $20.00 - $24.25

  • Masters degrees: $29.00 - $30.50

At Northrop Grumman, our internship pay rates are standardized and take into account three main factors: the anticipated graduation date of the individual, the cost of labor of the geographic location, and whether the internship is considered technical or administrative.
