As an intern, you’ll work on challenging projects in your specific area of study and receive support from a mentor. The Operational Risk & Reporting team plays a critical role in ensuring the operational effectiveness of the Preferred & Small Business Banking organization. This team supports strategic initiatives, employee development, and risk management across multiple verticals, including:

-Performance & Reporting
o Develops and drives performance metrics and line of business reporting to support data-driven decision-making, ensuring outputs can also be leveraged by training and development teams to focus on capability building.
-Branch Design & Effectiveness
o Conducts physical and virtual branch design assessments.
o Tests procedures and controls to ensure operational integrity and customer experience, providing insights that can be integrated into training to reinforce best practices.
-Procedure & Risk Control Inventory
o Manages inventory and administration of procedures.
o Develops and maintains the Risk Control Inventory to align with regulatory and internal standards, ensuring training content is supported by accurate and compliant documentation.
-Issue Remediation & Fraud Management
o Oversees management action plans for issue and audit remediation.
o Leads centralized fraud engagement and management efforts, capturing lessons learned that can be used to inform employee training and awareness initiatives.
-Automation Development
o Designs and implements automation solutions to streamline operations and reduce manual effort, with supporting data and documentation that training teams can use to drive adoption.
-Project & Intake Management
o Coordinates line of business projects and intake processes to ensure alignment with strategic goals, resource capacity, and training readiness.

The summer Internship program runs June through August, with flexible dates available, based on school schedules. We're looking for individuals who are passionate and entrepreneurial, just like our clients. Specifically, we're looking for top-performers interested in pursuing careers in Commercial Banking.

What you'll need:

  • Undergraduate students currently enrolled in a related field of study.
  • GPA of 3.0 or higher.
  • Strong analytical, conceptual, communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to self-motivate and work productively without supervision.
  • An interest in working in the Commercial Business Banking industry.
  • To be eligible for this program, you must be authorized to work in the U.S. on a permanent basis. We do not offer any type of employment-based immigration sponsorship for this program.
