Overview

The Squires Group is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented professional to provide Tier 1 Technician support for our local client. This role is primarily remote, with occasional in-person company meetings and events within the DC metropolitan area. Candidates must be local to the DC area. 

Responsibilities

  • Provide Tier 1 technical support to end users both remotely and on-site via phone and email.
  • Demonstrate proficiency with SharePoint, OneDrive, Microsoft Teams, Outlook, and the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Possess a foundational understanding of networking concepts.
  • Exhibit working knowledge of Windows 10, Windows 11, and Mac OSX operating systems.
  • Configure, deploy, and deliver hardware such as workstations, monitors, and other PC peripherals as needed.
  • Uphold the client’s troubleshooting standards by efficiently identifying and resolving the root causes of technical issues.
  • Manage customer support requests submitted through phone or email.
  • Communicate with customers professionally and courteously, both over the phone and in person.
  • Pursue ongoing professional development through on-the-job experience, self-study, and industry training opportunities.
  • Maintain and update company documentation to reflect new or revised information.
  • Create user reference materials, including clear and concise operating instructions.
  • Foster consistent communication with remote team members and management.
  • Demonstrate curiosity and initiative in understanding the root cause of issues and implementing preventative solutions.

Qualifications

  • Prior experience working with a Managed Service Provider (MSP).
  • Must have M365 Admin Center experience; assigning licenses, onboarding/offboarding users, administering policies, etc.
  • Office 365 Administration - specifically navigating and completing tasks in M365 Admin, SharePoint Admin, Intune Admin, Azure Portal, Teams Admin, or Purview. 
  • You embrace lifelong learning and have a strong desire to continuously expand your knowledge.
  • Demonstrated history of delivering high-quality results and maintaining executional excellence.
  • Ability to perform effectively and meet expectations with minimal supervision.
  • Possess 1–2 years of experience in customer service or the service industry.
  • Have 1–2 years of experience providing technical support.
  • You are actively pursuing technical certifications.
  • You hold a valid driver’s license, have reliable transportation, and maintain current insurance.

  • Located within convenient proximity to our clients in the Washington, D.C. area.

Compensation

  • The compensation range for this role is between $50,000 and $60,000, based on experience and qualifications. This range is subject to change.
