Responsibilities:

We are looking for an accomplished and motivated Software Engineer PhD Intern to join our team and help provide outstanding Character Physics technology on consoles, PC, iOS, and Android. This is a paid internship opportunity.

  • You will work on all aspects of software engineering, from design to testing and optimization, as part of an experienced engineering team - a great opportunity to learn.

  • You will work with a team of Physics experts and collaborate with several others in the organisation.

  • You will engage with game teams and other central technology groups around the globe.

Eligibility:

  • You are studying towards a PhD degree and able to request a study break

  • You are available to commence a full-time 6-month placement in July 2026.

  • You are eligible to work in the UK without additional visa or relocation support.

Skills:

  • Study a degree around the simulation of physical systems, such as or similar to physics, mathematics, mechanical/space engineering, bioengineering, robotics, astrophysics or computer science.

  • C++ programming experience.

  • Understanding of mechanics, data-driven architectures, and numerical methods.

  • Biomechanics and Animation systems knowledge is a bonus.

  • Experience in version control tools (Git, Bitbucket, Perforce).
