AllianceBernstein’s investment teams include Fixed Income, Multi-Asset & Hedge Fund Solutions, Equities and Responsible Investing and in total manage over $710 billion in assets.

The 2026 Investments Summer Internship Program places interns within our UK investment teams – most likely within Fixed Income or Multi-Asset & Hedge Fund Solutions. Specific asset class placement and role will be determined through a combination of intern interest and skillset and business need. Interns may also be provided with some exposure to other investment businesses, including Equities and Responsible Investing. Through the Internship Program, interns will gain a greater appreciation of the overall investment process and different types of roles including fundamental and quantitative research, trading, portfolio management as well as data science and technology innovation.

Summer Interns contribute to and learn from AB’s innovative use of technology, deep research capabilities, global presence and breadth of investment management expertise. The flat corporate structure allows Interns to become deeply integrated into the team and contribute meaningfully to the investment process early on in their careers.

At the end of the summer, interns will present on their projects and lessons learned to the Investments senior management. Successful interns may be considered for the Investments Rotational Associate Program upon their graduation.

AB’s Investment Teams

You will likely work within the Fixed Income and Multi-Asset & Hedge Fund Solutions teams. Specific asset class placement and role will be determined through a combination of intern interest and skillset and business need.

Fixed Income – Manages assets for a broad spectrum of clients, including retail investors, high-net-worth clients and major institutions. Investment strategies are managed across the risk/return spectrum, including rates & currencies, investment-grade and high-yield credit and emerging markets.

Multi-Asset & Hedge Fund Solutions – Manages assets for global institutions, high-net-worth individuals and retail mutual funds. Macro and quantitative research insights are used to develop innovative investment products and drive investment decisions. The business oversees a range of investment services including Thematic Outcome Oriented Solutions, Alternatives, Total Return, Risk Managed Strategies, Retirement, and Systematic Strategies.

Equities – Manages assets for a wide variety of institutional, high-net-worth and retail clients. Investment professionals mange portfolios of equities ranging from small cap to mega cap stocks, spanning the style spectrum from value to core to growth, covering all geographies and including specialized portfolios such as thematic, low-volatility and quantitative strategies.

Responsible Investing - Sets the strategy for responsible investment across the firm, and partners with our investment teams in Equities, Fixed Income, Multi-Asset and Hedge Funds to integrate ESG criteria into our investment processes, Our approach encompasses partnership (most notably our partnership with Columbia University’s Climate School), education, research, stewardship and solutions

What We Are Looking For

Candidates should be top academic performers, be interested in the investment management industry and meet the following criteria:

June 2027 Bachelor’s or Master’s degree students in business, finance, economics, mathematics, computer science, engineering or similar
Track records of outstanding academic performance with expected minimum 2:1 grade (or equivalent)
Strong intellectual curiosity and an openness to learning about various asset classes and investment roles and responsibilities
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong quantitative, critical thinking and communication skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Detail-oriented, ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced team environment
Ability to collaborate with others as part of a team
Strong proficiency in MS Office Suite – PowerPoint, Excel
Ability to use and apply AI tools such as CoPilot and ChatGPT and/or programming languages such as Python, Matlab, SQL etc. is preferred but not required
Candidates must be able to work full-time, in-person, from the beginning of July through to mid-September
Selected candidates will need to successfully complete a thorough background check
It is not permissible to simultaneously take academic classes or hold other employment that will conflict with the internship schedule.
Candidates must have the right to work in the UK (Company sponsorship will not be offered now or in the future)
