Protect the environment and the natural resources of the Commonwealth through enforcement, education and public outreach.
Job Description\:
Assist Massachusetts Environmental Police with creating and managing content for official digital platforms. Interns will gain hands-on experience in government communications, digital media strategy, and public outreach while supporting the Massachusetts Environmental Police mission.
Key Responsibilities\:
- Assist with the development and scheduling of social media content across Massachusetts Environmental Police platforms
- Create engaging materials that promote environmental awareness, public safety and agency initiatives
- Support the social media team by drafting posts, preparing content calendars, and helping gather media from events or activities involving the Environmental Police
- Produce basic graphics, photos or short video clips for online publication
- Other duties as assigned
Preferred Skills & Qualifications\:
- Familiarity with major social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram etc.)
- Basic knowledge of content creation tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Express, or similar)
- Strong writing, editing and organizational skills with attention to detail
- Interest in environmental protection, law enforcement or public service
