Position Title: Event Management Intern
Department: Event Technology Services
Reports To: Director of Event Technology Services
FLSA Status: Hourly/Non-Exempt
Position Summary:
Legends Global, the leader in privately managed public assembly facilities, has an excellent and immediate opening for a detail-oriented and proactive intern to support our Event Technology Services team at Legends Global/Salt Palace Convention Center. Under the guidance of the Director of Event Technology Services, the Event Management Intern focuses on enhancing ancillary client services, supporting software systems, and improving service delivery for exhibitors, contractors, technicians, and attendees. The ideal candidate is tech-savvy, organized, and eager to contribute to a fast-paced event environment.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Exhibitor Services
- Receive, review, and archive Elbowspace orders
- Communicate with exhibitors regarding their service requests
- Respond to exhibitor service calls during events
- Identify opportunities to improve exhibitor support before and during events
Contractor Services
- Coordinate with contractors to collect electrical and housekeeping reports onsite
- Collaborate with engineering and housekeeping teams to audit submitted reports
Technician Work Orders
- Track service calls and updates to work orders during events
- Assist technicians with documenting technical notes
- Recommend improvements to technician support processes
Wi-Fi Services
- Learn and manage self-service Wi-Fi networks
- Administer guest access via Aruba ClearPass
- Conduct weekly testing of all self-service Wi-Fi networks
- Explore ways to enhance attendee Wi-Fi experience
Scooter & Wheelchair Rentals
- Maintain scooters in clean, charged, and event-ready condition
- Process and confirm rental orders
- Ensure accurate and complete payment collection
- Stage equipment for pickup and inspect upon return
- Recommend improvements to the rental process and customer satisfaction
Momentus Software Project
Momentus is our new event booking and management system (launched June 2025). The intern will assist in exploring and optimizing its capabilities.
- Develop reports listing customers, service descriptions, and pricing per event
- Generate monthly and annual service category revenue summaries
- Update workflow documentation for department coordinators and technicians
- Create customizable reports detailing all services ordered by each customer
- Assist in updating the Exhibitor Service Center with service listings, descriptions, photos, and upselling prompts
- Evaluate whether the Exhibitor Service Center can support scooter and wheelchair rentals or if alternative software is needed
Experience, Knowledge, & Qualifications:
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Interest in event management, technology, or customer service
- Ability to learn new software systems quickly
- Comfortable working in a dynamic, event-driven environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; familiarity with event software is a plus
Job Type: 6 Month part-time internship term, 20-30 hours per week, In-Office
Wage: $ 20-22 per hour
Schedule: Monday-Friday, Weekends required, Event driven schedule (Must be available to work any day of the week based on event/project demands)

Subject to sustained periods of time with exposure to the elements with adverse conditions. May require tools and equipment operation that could cause personal harm and/or injury if improperly handled. Requires irregular and/or extended hours, including weekends, evenings, and holidays, determined by event schedule and/or department needs. Requires radio usage, two-way handheld.
