Compensation
·$26.50/hour
What you’ll do
- Analyze processes/activities and develop recommendations for improvement in operational and functional areas.
- Quantify savings to the organization based on projects that utilize engineering solutions.
- Prepare documentation and process maps to support business needs.
- Establish and/or update work standards through observation and time studies of activities in processing units.
- Analyze activity observations/timings and calculate standard work times utilizing Workstudy+ software.
- Develop/maintain systems supported by Engineering Services.
- Prepare and/or design new reports and programs as needed.
- Regularly correspond with and answer questions from supervision and management concerning the systems maintained by Engineering Services.
- Present summer projects in a final presentation to leadership.
- Complete special projects as assigned.
What you need
- Must be currently enrolled as an undergraduate in a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering curriculum with at least 1 year in the program.
- Require a minimum GPA of 2.75.
- Ability to work with and learn various computer applications and programs utilized by the area. Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Experience with Minitab, Microsoft Access, Visio, and Tableau/Power BI is preferred.
- Communicate effectively with employees in all organizational levels.
- Have a proven record of low absenteeism.
- Need to be self-motivated and be able to carry out activities with a minimum of supervision.
