Nursing Education Intern

Nursing Education (OMC)

• Work on the Nursing Education team to assist with the training and orientation of new nurses at Atlantic Health System
• Assist the Nursing Education department with tasks set out by various teams, such as research, data capturing, and working closely with different team members
• Learn more about the hospital and healthcare, gain experience, with some opportunities to shadow nurses on the units
• Communicate with nursing leadership and clinical staff to keep the project aligned with the goals for professional development 
• Coordinate meetings to discuss changes as needed 
• Work alongside nurse educators to contribute to improved strategies for training and educating new clinical nurses 
• Assist in ad-hoc projects such as but not limited to data collection and nursing orientation

• Applicants must be currently enrolled in a full-time accredited public or private College/University 
• Be in good academic standing 
• Work 37.5 hours per week and commit to a minimum of 375 hours for the duration of the internship
• Must be enrolled in an accredited college/university studying nursing or allied health
• US Citizen or permanent resident 
• Extremely organized 
• Proficient MS Suite 
• Understand basic clinical knowledge/nursing 
• Is curious and willing to learn 
• Thrives in a fast-paced environment
