Understand our business and value stream
Gather information from various data sources and create process maps
Use process maps toidentifyareas of improvement and problem areas in a system
Apply analytical rigor and a data driven approach to assess current state and develop alternatives
Developpractical business insights
Design analytic plan/develop hypotheses to test
Interprets results and set next steps
Build andmaintainpositive relationships with employees and stakeholders
Propose waysto synthesize multiple andpossibly divergentviewpoints into an action plan
Take initiative to share relevant project information with internal leadership and clients
Execute planand update project lead and stakeholders on a regular basis
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Pursuing a bachelor’s degree (B.A. / B.S.) inIndustrial Engineering, IndustrialManagementor similar field of study
Minimum 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale
Advanced Microsoft Office skills
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a business group
Strong analytical skill
OTHER QUALIFICATIONS
Ability to work onsite at our Carmel Headquarters location, unless otherwise directed by hiring manager
Ability to work up to 40 hours per week with a minimum of 20 hours for spring and fall interns
Eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.
REASONING/PROBLEM SOLVING ABILITY
Ability to define problems, collect data,establishfacts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. Able to read and interpret technical,regulatoryand contractual documentation. Able tomaintainconfidentiality.
DECISION MAKING
Makesday to daydecisions used to support strategic direction. Decisions often require some thought withoutestablishedprecedents or procedures. Decisions tend to be short term and usually of moderate cost. Able to work independently or as part of a team to drive results.
