As a Flex Space Analyst Intern at Lowe’s, you’ll help transform how we adapt store layouts and promotional spaces to better serve customers and meet business objectives. You'll support the development and optimization of flexible floor space used for seasonal displays, promotional events, and high-priority initiatives. Working alongside cross-functional teams like Visual Merchandising, Store Operations, and Marketing, you’ll analyze sales performance, evaluate space utilization, and recommend improvements that enhance the customer shopping experience and maximize revenue.

This internship is based at our headquarters in Mooresville, North Carolina. Our corporate office is a space where you can collaborate and do your best work. Take a walk, grab a bite (or a cup of coffee), work out or get a check-up – we invest in you so you can find your inspiration.

What You Will Learn

  • How to analyze and optimize flexible space usage for promotional and seasonal events.

  • Data-driven methods for evaluating sales impact and customer engagement in flex zones.

  • Collaboration with Merchandising, Visual Space Planning, and Store Operations teams.

  • Techniques for aligning flex space strategies with company initiatives and revenue goals.

  • How to interpret store layout data and apply findings to in-store presentation strategies.

  • How to build and present recommendations to stakeholders using tools like Excel, PowerPoint, and planogram software.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Retail Management, Analytics, Marketing, or a related field.

  • Expected graduation dates of December 2026 or May 2027.

Preferred Skills/Experience

  • 3.0 cumulative GPA or higher.

  • Proficient in MS Office Programs (specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).

  • Previous experience in retail, merchandising, analytics, or marketing (academic or professional).

  • Familiarity with space planning or retail layout concepts.

  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to translate data into actionable insights.

  • A passion for optimizing the customer journey through innovation and flexibility.
