R&D Co-Op

This Research and Development position is a temporary 8-month co-op assignment from January 2026-August 2026. Only students currently attending college or university will be considered. 

 

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

• Participate in the architecture of data collection and organization methods from various sources including manufacturing and global service partners
• Develop and implement Design of Experiments of routines for data collection, pre-processing, and integrity checks in preparation for analysis
• Work with research and data science teams to perform exploratory data analysis, identifying trends and data features
• Help plan & roadmap new features and functionality
• Work in a multi-disciplinary agile team supporting the research, data science, and prognostics teams in developing and improving AI models
• Assist with designing and conducting experiments in a lab environment to evaluate and validate the performance of the AI models
• Document and present progress/results to the data science and prognostics teams as well as other stakeholders
• Assist with other project activities as assigned

For This Role, You Will Need:

• Required Majors(s): Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering as a Background, Mathematics, Statistics or related engineering or science field.
• Minimum year in school: Junior 
• GPA: 2.5 minimum

Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:

• C#, C++, Matlab, LabView, Java, Python or other object-oriented programming skills desired
• Experience in data collection and pre-processing /post-processing and design of experiment
• Familiarity with statistical modeling and machine learning methodologies 
• Possess strong analytical, problem solving, and decision-making skills
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Ability to contribute in a team environment
• Familiarity with data visualization, management, and storage tools are a plus
