Title: Corporate Volunteer Engagement Intern
Position Type: Part-Time
Paid: 15 hours/week, $15/hour

Position Overview: Under the Direction of the Associate Director Development, Volunteerism and Special Events, the Business Intern will assist with all volunteer opportunities, including planning, coordinating, pre-event preparation with Association Directors, re-screening volunteers, day of execution and post event engagement.

Volunteer Engagement:
• Collaborate with YMCA staff members to design, develop and execute volunteer opportunities that increase the total number of volunteers and grow corporate volunteer engagement. • Research additional volunteer opportunities; collaborate with Center Directors to devise master list of potential projects • Manage internal and external communications focused on volunteer impact and engagement (i.e. social media content, project reports, etc). • Lead research and communications on best practices to implement volunteer programs and prepare data driven recommendations to inform volunteer engagement • Devise strategies to further engage volunteers beyond a one-time corporate opportunity, including Board of Advisors positions • Research and coordinate strategy to help turn volunteers into first time donors on their own • Maximize volunteers’ employee match program and or volunteer benefits ie: paid volunteer time; minimum volunteer requirement; banked volunteer hours monetary equivalent to then donate to charity of choice, etc.
