Job Description:

This position on the GBS Engineering team at UPS as a Data Science Intern, will play a vital role in uncovering operational insights to enhance the UPS customer experience and improve call summary categorization. This position involves leveraging organizational datasets, Generative AI technologies, and machine learning models to transform complex data into actionable solutions. He/She will have project work matched to skillsets, strengths, and interests.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct end-to-end customer service analysis to uncover trends, patterns, and actionable insights from large and complex datasets.
• Translate key statistical findings into clear and actionable solutions for GBS operations.
• Present data insights and recommendations to key stakeholders, including GBS operations and senior leadership.

Qualifications:

• Currently pursuing or recently completed an undergraduate or graduate degree in Engineering, Data Science, Mathematics, Business, Computer Science, or a related field with at least two years of coursework completed.
• Demonstrated technical skills in programming and data analysis
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and SQL
• Preferred experience with:
  • Python
  • Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
  • Linguistics and/or Customer Service Data

• Must be currently located in the same geographic location as the job or willing to relocate yourself –Required.
