Job Summary:
Title: Data Science & Analytics Intern (In-Person, Unpaid, For College Credit)
Location: New York, NY (On-Site)
The Role:
Roc Nation is seeking an intern in our Data Science & Analytics department to support our digital marketing team with reporting, research, and analysis. You will have the opportunity to work on projects involving some of the top talent in the entertainment industry and work with emerging digital music and entertainment technologies.
Areas you will be learning about:
How data drives strategy development and decision making for clients across the roster
How to analyze marketing performance and deliver actionable takeaways
How to conduct competitive market research to identify emerging trends across music and social platforms
How data is aggregated, stored, and processed to derive meaningful insights
How to develop and present clear, engaging dashboards and reports for internal and external stakeholders
How to deliver key strategic takeaways for ad-hoc requests across all verticals (music, sports, brands)
Qualifications:
Must be eligible to receive academic credit from your college or university
Must be currently enrolled as a full-time college student working towards your Associate’s, Bachelor’s or Master’s degree
Experience with data analysis, Excel, SQL, and python
Experience working with business intelligence applications to build and maintain reports
Extremely detail oriented and organized
Proficient understanding of social media and the digital marketing landscape
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Powerpoint and Excel) and Google Suite
Self-starter who can complete tasks with minimal supervision
Very strong written & communication skills
Works well in a structured and collaborative team environment
Works well with tight & strict deadlines
Easily adjusts to shifting priorities
This internship is available for the Spring semester. This is a non-paid internship, with flexible hours (minimum of 16 hours per week) to reflect your necessary college credit requirements.
