Salary Range: 41 to 54 (Currency: USD) (Pay period: per-hour-wage)
We are seeking a PhD AMO Theory Intern in our Broomfield, CO Location.
Key Responsibilities:
- Apply previous experience in research to help develop quantum computers using trapped ions as qubits.
- Responsible for working in a research environment to analyze quantum computing operations, such as gates, measurement, and cooling.
- Analyze the performance of a variety of quantum computing architectures.
- Present scientific results at meetings or in publications
YOU MUST HAVE:
- Currently enrolled in a PhD program
- Graduating on/after 2026
- Due to Contractual requirements, must be a U.S. Person. defined as, U.S. citizen permanent resident or green card holder, workers granted asylum or refugee status
- Due to national security requirements imposed by the U.S. Government, candidates for this position must not be a People's Republic of China national or Russian national unless the candidate is also a U.S. citizen.
WE VALUE:
- 2+ years' experience (PhD inclusive) involving one or more of the following areas: atomic physics, quantum benchmarking, quantum information, quantum computing strongly preferred.
- Experience performing simulation and modeling to inform experiments
- Experience with constructing quantum circuits
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, with published results within their field of research
