This role will be based in our Limerick site.

Throughout the placement, you will be an integral part of Stryker’s 2025 Cooperative cohort. Tasks and responsibilities may include:

  • Together, with your Stryker team leader and college supervisor, identify a Finance improvement project along with project objectives, scope, success factors, milestones and evaluation
  • Involvement in financial month end process (posting journals, reporting, liaising with our shared service center etc)
  • Input into budgeting process through taking responsibility for budget inputs, working with the business to set the appropriate budgets and projections, and holding others accountable for performance against targets
  • Forecasting on a quarterly, monthly, and weekly basis
  • Assist the team in the tracking of capital spent and monitoring site spend and inventory movements
  • Support compliance and internal/external audit activities 

What you will need:

  • Currently enrolled in a university course in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business or other related courses for the duration of the placement
  • Honesty and integrity; must comply with the quality system, regulations, and company policies
  • Self-motivated, flexible, and hardworking - enjoys working in a dynamic, fast and results orientated environment
  • Reliable, dependable, and punctual
  • Organised, focused, and capable of multi-tasking
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Good verbal and written communication skills with a basic level of PC skills
  • Is a team player and capable of working as part of a multi-disciplined team
  • Available for either 6, 9 or 12 months – exact duration and start date to be discussed with your Talent Acquisition Business Partner at Stryker
