Generac’s Internship Program is designed to provide students and recent graduates with real-world experience in a supportive and innovative environment. Responsibilities
- Deliver positive, prompt, and effective HR customer service to internal customers via phone, email, and ticketing system.
- Assist employees with navigating HR systems by providing step-by-step guidance to complete tasks.
- Use documentation and tools daily to ensure consistent administration of processes and responses.
- Triage or escalate complex inquiries to appropriate teams, adhering to Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
- Provide HR data entry, audit, and transactional support with a focus on quality and accuracy.
- Support HR team members with daily tasks and longer-term projects.
- Work in Generac’s HR Information System, Workday, to update planning dates and audit global transactions.
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, with an expected graduation date of on or after May 2026.
- Strong organizational and time management skills; able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a customer-focused mindset.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to data accuracy and process consistency.
- Comfortable working independently and collaboratively, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Interest in learning HR systems, processes, and service delivery models
Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear; and use hands to manipulate objects or controls. The employee is regularly required to stand and walk. On occasion the incumbent may be required to stoop, bend or reach above the shoulders. The employee must occasionally lift up to 25 - 50 pounds. Specific conditions of this job are typical of frequent and continuous computer-based work requiring periods of sitting, close vision and ability to adjust focus. Occasional travel.
