What you will do

Working under supervising professional engineers, you will make an impact by:

  • Participating in field data collection
  • Performing engineering analyses and design of coastal and marine structures
  • Assisting with the preparation of project deliverables including technical reports, calculations, cost estimates, specifications and drawings
  • Assisting with the construction administration tasks for projects for active projects

Qualifications

What you bring:

Required:

  • Junior, Senior, or Graduate student standing in an ABET-accredited engineering program specializing in civil, coastal, ocean or environmental engineering
  • Demonstrates a genuine interest in coastal systems and a commitment to protecting and enhancing our natural coastal and marine environments
  • Experience with or willingness to learn GIS software
  • Experience with or willingness to learn programming with MATLAB and/or Python

Preferred:

  • Previous intern experience with an engineering consulting firm
  • Working knowledge of and experience with AutoCAD
