As a design and innovation consulting intern, you will collaborate with different teams to help businesses define their digital strategy and aspirations, design digital products and experiences, and solve their digital and innovation challenges.

The Opportunity

We're looking for ‘UI Designer – Interns’ to join our Digital Engineering Technology Consulting team at our Trivandrum, India office. This hands-on internship will offer you the chance to learn and grow by creating detailed wireframes, interaction flows, storyboards, UI designs for apps and web platforms, and supporting graphic creative work.

Throughout the entire design process—from inspiration and research to building prototypes and communicating a vision—you will be guided by experienced professionals. If you are creative, love technology, enjoy problem-solving, and have a passion for learning, this role will help you develop into a future design champion.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Learn Figma and other design tools
  • Understand business requirements with guidance and narrow down problem statements and user needs
  • Collaborate with the team to brainstorm solutions
  • Create interaction flows, wireframes, and UI under supervision
  • Assist in writing on-screen content
  • Present ideas in team meetings
  • Explore coding HTML/CSS (optional)
  • Learn basic AngularJS (optional)
  • Use design tools like Adobe CC suite, Figma, Sketch, and MS Office with support
  • Continuously learn new design tools to stay updated with industry trends

  • Basic knowledge of Figma (or willingness to learn before start of internship)
  • Clear thinker and communicator
  • Creative and curious, eager to challenge the status quo
  • Ability to see design from the user’s perspective
  • Passion for learning, drawing inspiration from the world around you
  • Ability to follow instructions and guidelines while envisioning future scenarios
  • Willingness to detail interaction flows for digital services and products
  • Open to feedback and quick to iterate on designs
  • Willingness to conduct research and benchmarking for effective solutions
  • Enthusiastic about learning and applying brand guidelines effectively
  • Interest in interface/experience design for emerging technologies and platforms
  • A team player with integrity and professionalism

To qualify for the role, you should have

  • A design mindset and a passion for learning
  • A degree in Art/Animation/Design/Engineering/Sciences (or pursuing one)
  • Ability to sketch ideas on paper or digital tools
  • Basic proficiency in design tools (or willingness to learn)
  • Exposure to design projects through coursework or personal projects
  • Willingness to learn design thinking/human-centered design methods
  • Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written
  • Flexibility and readiness to adapt to different project needs
  • Good to Have Skills
  • Drawing and presentation skills
  • Basic knowledge of Figma, Photoshop, Adobe XD
  • Awareness of agile processes for design projects
  • Willingness to explore HTML/CSS, JS
