Responsibilities:

  • Welcome and engage with family caregivers visiting the center, providing emotional support and a listening ear.
  • Offer community referrals and connect caregivers with hospital resources tailored to their needs.
  • Assist families in navigating the healthcare system with compassion and understanding.
  • Conduct outreach to medical floors and waiting areas to introduce caregivers to the center’s services.
  • Help plan and organize caregiver support groups and community outreach initiatives.
  • Serve as a supportive presence in the center, ensuring it remains a quiet and comforting space for families.
  • Applicants must be currently enrolled in a full-time accredited undergraduate or graduate program at a public or private College/University, and be in good academic standing at their institution
  • Work 37.5 hours per week and commit to a minimum of 375 hours for the duration of the internship
  • Must be committed to completing the duration of the internship from June 2026 - August 2026
  • Nursing, Social Work, or Psychology students preferred
