THE POSITION

Are you looking for an exciting internship experience? Our paid Internship Program provides real-world experience for students who are interested in the live entertainment industry. After finishing this program, you will have gained broad experience in various aspects live event business. You can also expect to apply your academic learning to real-world situations and cultivate your leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills. This is a part-time position, working 15-20 hours per week.

The Festival Marketing Intern supports the entire C3 Festival Marketing Department’s overall organization and administrative tasks. Their main responsibilities will include but are not limited to digital marketing support on social media, website and e-mail marketing, assistance with major festival milestones & announcements, coordinating with our in-house creative team on content production and supporting on-site at our festivals.

The Festival Marketing Intern collaborates closely with each member of the Festival Marketing Team to support all major announcements and drive towards our main goal of selling out the festivals. They will also coordinate with each member to keep the overall team organized and efficient. This role is meant to take on administrative work off the senior marketers to allow them to focus on marketing & advertising strategy.

This role requires someone who is focused, highly organized, and able to continually prioritize while balancing multiple projects. Experience with overall digital marketing strategy is important, along with an attention and eye for detail.

The ideal candidate has a passion for music, live events, popular culture, and media trends. They must also have excellent communication skills and the ability to work quickly and efficiently.

WHAT THIS ROLE WILL DO

  • Manage wristband fulfillment and shipment for each festival

  • Manage mobile application information and edits for each festival

  • Understand various marketing platforms including TikTok, Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, Spotify, YouTube, Snapchat, Webflow, Mailchimp, and Sprout Social

  • Understand how to research DMAs and demographics for digital advertising strategy

  • Coordinate with creative team on copywriting & asset production

  • Assist with on-site logistics at festivals, including social media marketing, giveaway winner prize fulfillment and media partner support

  • Handle administrative tasks & duties for senior marketers

  • Assist with simple graphic design tasks via PhotoShop, InDesign a plus

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • This role requires you to be in our Austin, TX office. It is not a remote internship opportunity.

  • Currently enrolled in an accredited College or University; Preferably in a field related to the internship you are applying for

  • Junior or Senior standing

  • Previous experience preferred (school, internship, or professional)

  • Creative thinker and problem solver

  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

  • Acute sense of judgment, tact, and diplomacy

  • A strong sense of teamwork and ability to execute programs

  • Interest in music, live events, digital marketing, social media marketing

  • Excellent organization, attention to detail, takes initiative and fast learner 

  • Basic knowledge of digital marketing platforms, including Webflow, Mailchimp, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, TikTok

  • Microsoft Excel, Work and Outlook skills

  • Resourceful and detail-oriented

  • Not afraid to ask for help
