Join us for a summer (May or June start) and fall (early or mid December end) Mechanical Engineering co-op. You would need to take the fall semester off as this is a 40 hour a week position. This role is onsite, in Lenexa, KS. This role may be eligible for relocation.

What You Will Do:

• You will partner with project engineers, electrical engineers, software/system engineers, certification engineers, and other project team members from around the world.
• You be involved in all phases of the engineering processes from concept evaluation and proposal to design and development to qualification/certification and product field support.
• You will participate in design reviews and lessons learned to ensure mechanical design maturity and troubleshoot any challenges.

What You Will Learn:

• You will gain exposure to global stakeholders and peers at our facilities in India and Germany.
• You will be exposed and participate in matters of regulatory and customer compliance.
• You will be able to takes initiative to suggest improvements to product and processes.
• You will learn how Oxygen systems work for passengers, crew, and even parachutists.

Qualifications You Must Have:

• Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and student must be pursuing a Bachelor’s or advanced degree in an applicable discipline.
• U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or granted refugee or asylee status) as defined here: https://www.ecfr.gov/current/title-22/chapter-I/subchapter-M/part-120/subpart-C/section-120.62.

Qualifications We Prefer:

• Siemens NX/Teamcenter experience.
• Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering major.

The salary range for this role is 37,000 USD - 82,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
