About the Role
We are seeking a proactive and motivated intern to join our Italy Purchasing team based in Milan. Reporting to the Italy Non-Raw Material Purchasing, you will play a key role in supporting procurement activities, working directly for the head-office and the operative plants in Italy, developing essential skills for a future career in Purchasing.
Key Responsibilities
- Support negotiations with specific suppliers or supplier groups to optimize terms and value.
- Prepare and process reports for Headquarters, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.
- Follow up on invoices in the system and assist with SAP updates.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth purchasing operations.
With a proper tutoring, you will:
- Learn and apply techniques for managing commercial relationships with suppliers.
- Gain exposure to supplier contract elements and compliance requirements.
- Develop proficiency in IT tools for purchasing management, especially SAP.
- Build skills in managing priorities and collaborating within a structured, multicultural environment.
Qualifications
- Recent graduates or students in Engineering or Economics.
Preferred Skills
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
- Quantitative and analytical mindset.
- Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a multicultural team.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- Fluency in both Italian and English; knowledge of additional languages is a plus.
