Put a LIFT in Your Career!  Hyster-Yale Materials Handling (HYMH), a world-class manufacturer of industrial lift trucks, has an outstanding opportunity for an exceptional and talented Innovation Engineer Internship at our facility location in Berea, Kentucky.  HYG designs, engineers, manufactures, sells and services a comprehensive line of lift trucks and aftermarket parts marketed globally under the Hyster and Yale brand names. We are one of the global leaders in the Material Handling industry and have been building relationships and partnering with our customers, suppliers, dealers and employees for over 80 years.
 
HYMH is looking for an energetic individual who will have a positive influence in the Global Innovation Engineering department.  This position will be responsible for assisting/designing PoCs (Proof of Concepts) in the Innovation Lab. They could also be assigned projects that they design the solution themselves. May also be asked to assist in other tasks outside of the lab.

Hours:  Flexible depending on school schedule. (About 20 hours per week) Part-time option is available.

Other requirements:

• Must possess strong computer skills.
• Capable of working proficiently in CAD.
  • AutoCAD, 3D modeling.
• Able to program using C/ C+++
• Electrical capabilities
• Skilled in robotics/automation is a plus.
• Must be able to wear required PPE (i.e. safety glasses, hearing protection, and safety toe shoes).
• Able to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods of time.
• Must be dependable in terms of attendance and punctuality.
• Able to take direction as needed.

 
Our intern program is open both for undergraduate and graduate students pursuing a course of study in the field of engineering.
