Reporting to the Manager - Facilities, the CAD Designer (Co-Op) is responsible for reviewing and updating the electrical and/or mechanical designs of our manufacturing facility.

Work Term: Winter 2026 (Jan to Apr)
Work Arrangement: Onsite (5 Days per Week)
Work Location: 90 Belfield Rd., Etobicoke, ON


Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Review and update plant layout documents/drawings using AutoCAD.
  • Ensure that all drawings are in accordance with S&C's design standards.
  • Ensure backup of all CAD designs.
  • Perform data entry to set up and maintain parts storage in our facilities software system.
  • Assist the Project Coordinator and ensure that capital budget projects are following project timelines.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives for S&C's drawing process.
  • Other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Registered in a diploma or degree engineering co-op program (mechanical, industrial or manufacturing).
  • Eligible for a 4 month Co-op Term (Winter 2026).
  • Completed coursework and experience using AutoCAD.
  • Positive, flexible team-oriented approach, with the willingness and desire to work as part of a team as well as independently.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to take initiative.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented, resourceful.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Applications.
