About the Role & Program

This internship is a full-time, six-month commitment in the Orlando, FL area from January 2026 – June 2026.

                                                                                                    
What You Will Do

This role is part of the Income Tax group within Tax Operations. Key responsibilities of the internship include: 

  • Assisting in the preparation of the company’s state income tax returns for all worldwide business units 

  • Gathering and analyzing data, performing computations, and preparing work papers for tax returns, provisions, forecasts and projects 

  • Preparing state income tax estimates, extensions and returns for a diverse group of businesses conducting multi-national operations 

  • Collaborating with tax, business and accounting partners to obtain data necessary for tax calculations and reporting 

  • Researching income tax compliance-related issues 

  • Identifying tax process enhancements and automation opportunities 

  • Analyzing and preparing responses to state notices 

  • Acting as an embedded team member within Disney’s Corporate Tax Center of Excellence (COE)

  • Drafting user manuals for the department to outline Standard Operating Guidelines 

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Process Improvement mind set (Tech Savvy) 

  • Intermediate Excel – Previous experience with v-lookups, pivot tables, power pivot

  • Proficient in MS Office Suite and Adobe (able to edit and merge pdf files)

  • Strong ability to learn new computer programs quickly

  • Able to multi-task and possess strong time management skills  

  • Adaptable to change, easily pivots

  • Team player who enjoys working in a highly collaborative environment 

  • Strong analytical thinker that is not afraid to ask questions when needed

  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Some familiarity/knowledge of:

    • SAP

    • OneSource Income Tax

    • Research Institute of America (RIA) or similar research software

    • Alteryx

    • Co-Pilot

Education 

  • Currently enrolled in a GRADUATE degree program in Accounting, Finance, Tax, Data Analytics or other related field 

Eligibility Requirements & Program Information
Candidates for this opportunity MUST meet all of the below requirements: 

  • Be enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing a GRADUATE degree taking at least one class at time of application posting OR a graduate student currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship​

  • Be at least 18 years of age​

  • Possess unrestricted work authorization​

  • Have not completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or Disney College Program

Additional Information

  • Candidate must be fully available to work full time hours (approximately 40 hours per week) for the duration of the internship.

  • This internship is an on-site position, but also requires a working, reliable internet connection as well as a quiet, dedicated workspace for the days you may work from home.

The pay rate for this role in Florida is $30.40 per hour.
