Overview
Our Internship Development program is designed to provide Interns with real-world experience in the banking and financial services industry. An internship with Fulton Bank provides opportunities to build essential skills and explore a career path that matches your interests, while gaining valuable insights into the working life at Fulton. In addition, Interns have the opportunity to build their professional network, grow through professional development opportunities, give back to the community, engage with other Fulton Bank Interns, and connect with other employees through our various Employee Resource Groups. Under close supervision with a designated supervisor, an Intern is responsible for observing Corporate policies and procedures to acquire knowledge and build skills while working with a specific department, division, or on a special project. The duration of an internship is dependent on each specific assignment.
A wide range of majors are considered such as: Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Engineering, and/or other technical majors. Specialty is dependent on the requirements/needs of each internship assignment.

- Hybrid - remote work and in-office attendance required at Corporate Headquarters (One Penn Square Lancaster, PA 17602)
- Specific in-office days will be communicated by the supervisor.
- Work Hours: 20-40 hours per week, Monday-Friday. 8:00am – 5:00pm are standard working hours.
- Supervisor and intern to align on specific schedule that accounts for academic needs.

- This role is part of a temporary internship program that requires residence within Fulton Bank's footprint (PA, NJ, DC, DE, MD or VA)
- Must be willing to work on-site at specified work location as specified by the supervisor, with advance notice given.
- Ideal candidate will be able to continue employment into the summer months and join our summer intern enrichment experience.
- Relocation package/support is not offered for this position.

Responsibilities
- Assists in a wide range of opportunities with tasks in assigned department.
- Performs assigned duties in designated department to acquire knowledge of methods, procedures and standards required for successful performance.
- Completes reports on progress in internship program and gives feedback about program to Manager and Talent Acquisition team. Management feedback must indicate satisfactory progress to remain in Internship Program.
- Intern may also participate in career training/education as needed, as well as corporate events/initiatives.
- Duration of Internship is dependent on individual assignment, but will not exceed nine (9) months in duration.
Scope of Work:
Enterprise Architecture helps organizations align their technology with business goals. As an Enterprise Architecture (EA) Intern you will be a valued member of the Innovation and Architectural Solutions (IAS) team collaborating with other IAS team members to support Fulton’s technical and business stakeholders. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in technology strategy, enterprise and solution architecture, and financial services
The EA Intern position will be a hands-on role involving a variety of engagements with a diverse set of technologies and stakeholders. The intern is expected to contribute to the advancement of Fulton’s architecture practice by supporting the definition of the technology strategy and vision, as well as the architecture principles and standards that promote EA objectives. These objectives aim to simplify and standardize our banking technologies and enable the adoption of industry-leading innovations.
In this role, the EA Intern will be expected to adapt to change and be able to work across a variety of technologies, tools, projects, engagements, and teams.
Key Responsibilities:
As an Enterprise Innovation Intern, you may be asked to support a wide range of activities, including:
- Define operating models and processes that help mature the architecture practice
- Support training sessions to build knowledge of architectural concepts across the organization
- Maintain and update EA’s application inventory
- Evaluate current EA processes to identify opportunities for process improvements and automation
- Perform analysis of technology options, design patterns, and solutions to address system issues and develop recommendations
- Perform research on emerging technologies and trends to identify potential actions
- Conduct research into technology vendors, their competitors, and product capabilities
- Support development and updates to architecture design patterns for reuse across project teams
- Support development of architecture reference models used by technology teams
- Standardize existing system design artifacts in the diagram repository
- Participate in training as needed to support architecture or project deliverables

Qualifications
Required Education: High School Diploma or the Equivalent Experience
- Fulton Bank Interns will be expected to have completed, or are currently enrolled and in the process of completing, a four (4) year college degree from an accredited college/university earning a degree.
- Must have completed a minimum of 15 academic credits/credit hours- equivalent to one semester.
- The following specialty majors and area of study are required based on the needs of the department/project: Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Engineering, and/or other technical majors.
- Strong academic performance is required.
- Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher is strongly preferred.
Preferred Education:
- Preference will be offered to rising Juniors and Seniors.
Required Experience: 0-6 months
- 0-6 months of previous experience will align to the needs of the assigned department/project. Experience is demonstrated through former employment or co-op, internship, leadership, or community involvement experience.
- Ideal candidate demonstrates strong interpersonal skills through verbal and written communication, has strong customer service skills, and is a motivated self-starter with drive demonstrating initiative to advance their career.
- Ability to work on multiple tasks/assignments simultaneously, handle and manage a high volume of work, achieve deadlines while producing high quality and accurate products, and work independently and efficiently after instruction has been given.
- Must be able to professionally handle and prepare sensitive and confidential information.
- Technical skills are required with proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.
Preferred Experience:
- Demonstrated ability to perform research and analysis on complex topics, and synthesize clear findings and actionable next steps
- Classroom or project experience creating technical diagrams such as Entity Relational Diagrams (ERD), Business Process Models, and Sequence Diagrams
- Experience developing and delivering presentations to technical or non-technical audiences
- Interest in emerging technologies such as AI, cloud computing, or data analytics
- Curious, self-starter interested in learning and contributing across architecture domains, including business, data, application, and technology architecture

The salary range may vary based on geographic location.
The hourly rate for this temporary position is $18/hour.
