Candidates are encouraged to submit their applications early to ensure consideration.Start date: January 2026Location: London, United KingdomProgramme DescriptionThis London based 6 month internship is an exciting opportunity to Intern with the Five Arrows Corporate Private Equity business. Five Arrows’ Corporate Private Equity business is comprised of three strategies focused on different segments of the European and North American middle market: Five Arrows Principal Investments (“FAPI”), Five Arrows Growth Partners (“FAGP”), and Five Arrows Long Term Fund (“FALT”). FAPI’s forth generation fund is currently investing €2.5 billion into mid-market companies, FAGP is investing ~€1.0 billion into lower mid-market buy-outs; while FALT is currently deploying €1.2bn into businesses in the upper mid-market and has the option for longer-term holding periods. All three strategies focus exclusively on Data & Software, Healthcare & Education, and Technology-enabled Business Services. The Five Arrows Corporate Private Equity team comprises 65 investment professionals operating from four offices: London, Paris, New York and San Francisco.Five Arrows is the alternative assets arm of Rothschild & Co and manages €26 billion in assets across a range of private equity and private debt strategies. ResponsibilitiesResearching the industries in which our potential targets operate Identifying and evaluating investment opportunities Preparing investment committee memos Developing and maintaining bespoke financial models Assisting with deal execution workstreams and monitoring existing portfolio companies Developing and communicating a point of view on how value is created and what characterises an exceptional businessSupporting the team in co-ordinating due diligence and transaction processes both internally and with other advisersDeveloping relationship skills through exposure to senior bankers and investment committee membersSkills required Teamwork: Ability to build effective relationships between individuals, teams, lines of business and across geographical / cultural boundaries Communication: Ability to communicate clearly, persuade and influence Good listening skills Ability to be proactive, persevere, and overcome setbacks to deliver results Ability to work independently and take a high level of responsibility Understanding of the fundamental principles and the application of corporate finance Enthusiasm for developing these skills and applying them creatively Ability to build long-term, professional relationships with management teams and advisorsAdvanced Microsoft Office skills (Word, PowerPoint and Excel) QualificationsOutstanding academic track record (2:1 or above; obtained or expected) Previous experience at either a leading investment bank (M&A, Leveraged Finance, ECM), private equity firm, or top tier strategy consulting firm
