Job Summary

The Operational Excellence Intern will support the Manufacturing Excellence Manager in optimizing processes and workflows. This role plays a key part in identifying areas for improvement, implementing solutions, and contributing to the overall efficiency of our operations.

This role is to start in early September 2025 till end of December 2025

Principal Responsibilities

  • Assist the Manufacturing Excellence Manager in conducting process analyses to identify opportunities for improvement.

  • Support projects to streamline workflows, reduce waste, and enhance productivity using lean management methodologies.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement process improvements and share best practices.

  • Collect and analyze data to measure the effectiveness of implemented changes and identify further optimization opportunities.

  • Update documentation including standard operating procedures and work instructions.

  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and contribute innovative ideas.

  • Support training initiatives related to new processes or system implementations.

  • Assist in preparing reports and presentations to communicate project progress and outcomes.

Knowledge and Skill Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify inefficiencies and propose solutions.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.

  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and quality.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Power BI, Power Automate, PowerPoint, Word).

  • Self-motivated and able to work independently.

  • Prior experience or coursework in process improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean Six Sigma) is a plus.

  • Proficiency in programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, C++) is an asset.
