Programme Essentials
To join one of our 12-month Internships you must meet one of the following criteria:
- You’re currently an undergraduate studying at University and returning to full time education in Autumn 2027
- You’re looking to gain work experience after completing your A-Levels, an equivalent course or an Apprenticeship
Additionally, you must be eligible to work in the UK without restriction for the duration of the internship from Monday 29th June 2026 – Friday 23rd July 2027.

What will I be doing?
As a Universal Pictures International Commercial Strategy Intern, you will assist in establishing business strategies with key cinema clients to deliver the studio’s fair share of box office revenues. You will collect and report on performance metrics and analyze the impact on Universal’s various trading practices. As part of a dynamic team, you will work across EMEA, APAC and LATAM to address international, regional and local commercial concerns.

Strategic Thinking
This internship will enhance your strategic thinking while you gain experience in the fast-paced world of the media & entertainment industry.
Film Industry Economics
You will develop an understanding of the business models in film distribution and exhibition, while examining the impact of recent changes in consumer behaviour and cinema trading practices.
Qualifications
What do I need to bring to the role?
- Data-driven mindset, with strong attention to detail and experience with Excel and PowerPoint – a statistical background is preferred, especially experience with programming languages (SQL or equivalent)
- Collaborative approach and teamwork skills, including the confidence to communicate with international colleagues across various divisions and at all levels of seniority
- Ability to undertake various duties under pressure, making sure you prioritise tasks and meet deadlines
- Enthusiasm to learn new technical skills and industry context
- Passion for film and the entertainment industry
