INTRODUCTION
Five Arrows is the alternative assets arm of Rothschild & Co, a business that is expected to continue to rapidly scale, and therefore this opportunity offers an exciting career path for a driven Investor Relations professional. Five Arrows manages more than €27 billion in a series of funds dedicated to corporate and secondary private equity, multi-managers funds and co-investments, as well as senior and junior credits. The Five Arrows team comprises over 260 professionals based in Europe and North America.
This position is in the Corporate Private Equity (CPE) team, a business that invests in Europe and North America through a series of funds focused on the lower mid-market, mid-market and upper mid-market. In CPE, we have more than 90 investment professionals based in Paris, London, New York, and San Francisco, managing over €10 billion of capital for this strategy.
MISSION
The person will operate at the centre of client servicing and fundraising / marketing support in the Corporate Private Equity team. The position will work closely with the Investor Relations team, which is divided between Paris and London. Although focused in the Corporate Private Equity team, they will interact with all the Five Arrows investment teams as well as the Finance, Operations, Compliance and Legal teams.
Day-to-day responsibilities will include:
• Marketing material preparation : Create, update or improve existing marketing materials in collaboration with both the investment teams and the finance teams
• Fundraising support : Participate in the preparation of due diligence questionnaires and ad-hoc analysis in response to specific investor requests
• Investor meetings co-ordination and record-keeping : Support investor due diligence meetings, as well as ensure perfect filing / CRM record-keeping
• Cashflow forecasts : Preparing consolidated cashflow forecasts and summaries for investors who have exposure to multiple Merchant Banking funds
• CRM management : Contribute to managing the investor database and updating information.
Experience, skills and competencies required :
• Students in the second part of their gap year or in their final year at a leading business or engineering school with an outstanding academic track record
• Good understanding of the private equity industry. Previous experience in Private Equity, Investment Banking, Consulting or Transaction Services is a plus.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, drafting clear messaging, presentations, and communications
• Strong IT skills on Microsoft platform, particularly PowerPoint and Excel
• Proven ability to successfully multi-task, along with strong attention to detail and a “zero defects” standard
• Demonstrated ability to maintain humility and temperament in a fast-paced and competitive environment
• Highly self-motivated and self-directed, with an organised and methodical approach to working
• Team player with an ability to build effective relationships between individuals, teams, lines of business and across geographical / cultural boundaries
• Needs to be highly analytical and numerate with an ability to manipulate data and produce sound analysis, synthetizing complex information
• Fluent in French and English
