If you are an Engineering student looking for an opportunity to grow, Emerson has an exciting opportunity for you as a Quality Engineering Intern.  Based in our Shakopee or Eden Prairie, MN location you will be responsible for researching various Intrinsically Safe Circuit protection concepts. Breakdown, test, and study different mechanical and electrical concepts of various products comparing the pros and cons of the different designs. Perform circuit and design analysis and present on how it impacts the safety of the device in a hazardous environment.

  • Hazardous Location Certification Testing
  • Project Findings and Reports
  • Various Team Building Exercises

For This Role, You Will Need:
  • Pursuing a Bachelor's in Engineering or Science from an Engineering School (students of any class status will be considered) 
  • Zero (0) years of related experience 
  • Ability to work full-time (40 hours) per week in-person at a Twin Cities location (Shakopee, Chanhassen, or Eden Prairie, MN) 
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States 
Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:
  • GPA of 3.0 or above
  • Prior internship experience

Our compensation philosophy is simple: we pay a competitive base salary, within the local market in which we operate, and reward performance during our annual merit review process. The starting salary for this role is $25.00- 27.00 hourly, commensurate with the skills, talent, capabilities and experience each candidate brings to a role.
