About the Indigenous (FNIM) apprenticeship:
• An “earn and learn” program designed with and for FNIM peoples offering.
o Salary, training, and meaningful real-world experience in a supportive environment

• A full-time, year-long position with an opportunity to continue with us at the end of the program, supporting your ongoing growth, and success.
·Either you a have a high-school diploma, GED/ equivalent or an associate’s degree (without a bachelor’s degree)
·You are looking to start a new career journey, even if your previous experience is in a completely different field

The work:
• Develop technology solutions that make a difference to business, society, and the environment
• Join a diverse and inclusive team, filled with different Accenture teammates from around the world
• Learn programming skills to build portions of applications that solve our client's business and IT challenges
• Actively work in delivering large IT solutions to clients on time and within budget
• Learn about every stage of the Service Delivery Lifecycle –– from new system rollouts to enhancements to ongoing maintenance of applications
• Closely analyze and test any new components or enhancements to existing IT modules
• Talk with team members to design solutions that meet end users’ needs and technicalrequirements
• Roll up your sleeves and work on all aspects of programming:
oDefine, design, and deliver new applications with your teammates.
oWrite the programing code that you have been taught at Accenture that brings new apps to life.
oDevelop the system details and interfaces.
oFix any bugs that creep into any old or new code.
oMake sure critical systems continue running for our clients by maintaining the software code
oAnalyze basic tech issues and stop the damage
oKeep well-written records describing how the software works, any special configurations, and how to troubleshoot and/or solve problems
oSupport implementation of new technologies, ensuring a successful transition to what’s new
Here's what you need:
oThis role is only open to candidates who are of First Nations, Inuit or Métis heritage or descent.
oHigh school diploma or equivalent
This is not required but bonus points if:
• You have a strong track record of good grades
• You can look at problems holistically, analytically and creatively
• You feel comfortable speaking up and sharing your thoughts in person and in writing
• You are curious about business and technology and want to constantly learn
• You have experience being on a team –– at school, North American Indigenous Games, PowWow Drumming, coaching, band councilor or being a team member at another job, or in the military
• You have exposure to a minimum of one programming language (e.g., Java, Javascript, C, C++, C#, SQL, Python, etc.)
• You can use Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
• You have exposure to advanced Excel functions such as pivot tables, v-look ups, macros
