Internal Communications Intern

You could be the one who changes everything for our 28 million members as an Intern at Centene. During this 12-week program, you'll learn more about Centene and how we're transforming the health of the community, one person at a time.
 

Position Purpose: This intern will work on Engagement & Council Planning & Communications, Benchmarking & Innovation Repository, and Comms Channel Enhancements.

Duties:

• Conduct internal and external benchmarking of internal communications practices, especially in healthcare and remote-first environments.
• Build a repository of innovative ideas with estimated lead time and support requirements.
• Support monthly engagement packets and CS&P Week kickoff planning.
• Assist with Business Unit Council communications and planning.
• Draft materials/repository for CS&P Week, monthly engagement packets and DEI comms
• Prototype and test new newsletter/email formats.
• Assist in development of Mission Moment video repository
• Audit SharePoint Hub content, identify needed updates, recommend enhancements and support buildout of additional Department sites/pages.

Skills:

• Strong writing skills
• Research and synthesis of information/data
• Analytical
• Experience in digital content creation, video editing tools, and survey platforms
• Familiarity with Microsoft SharePoint

Education/Experience: High school diploma or equivalent. Must be enrolled in an undergraduate program at an accredited university or college, preferably in Communications, Organizational Psychology, Public Health, Business Analytics, or a field related to the hiring department through the internship period.

Pay Range: $18-26/hour

Actual pay will be adjusted based on an individual's skills, experience, education, and other job-related factors permitted by law, including full-time or part-time status. Total compensation may also include additional forms of incentives. Benefits may be subject to program eligibility.
