Where You’ll Make a Difference
As a Culinary Applications intern, you’ll gain hands-on experience working on food innovation projects that include meat and prepared meals. You’ll learn how ingredients interact, assist with testing and trials, and contribute to real product development in a lab and pilot plant setting.
Your responsibilities may include:
Assist application specialists on a selected technical project from experimental design to completion, which includes testing on equipment, analytical procedures, equipment set-up and preparation of materials.
This role will work on the testing application of various IFF Food Ingredients.
Able to follow the instructions and operate small scale equipment to produce trial samples.
With the training provided on the job, operate various laboratory equipment to test the samples, collect, organize, and analyze the data, and present the trial reports.
Maintain a safe and clean work environment in their work area.
Present the final internship project report to the application team.
What Makes You the Right Fit
Currently enrolled in Bachelors / Masters / Ph. D Degree, specifically studying Food Science, Meat Science, or a related field.
Good time management skills and a team player
Good communication, verbal and written
Basic computer skills (Word / Excel / Power point etc.,)
Ability to lift 50 pounds
Ready to gain experience in a pilot plant setting, including working with meat products and operating in cold and wet conditions typical of food manufacturing
How Would You Stand Out?
3.0 GPA or Higher
Outstanding problem-solving, analytical and interpersonal skills.
Strong work ethic and the ability to collaborate in cross-functional teams to deliver concrete project deliverables in a timely manner.
