Cboe interns work with a variety of staff across multiple departments and have the opportunity to put their skills to work in their field of interest, while learning about Exchange technology and operations through our robust Options Institute courses.

The three main foundational pillars of our internship program are: develop, educate and network. We want to ensure each of our interns receive a real-world working experience that encourages academic, professional and personal growth.

Candidates should be versatile, eager and able to work in a fast-paced, time-sensitive financial and technical environment. Our interns will have the flexibility of working 2 days remotely, and 3 days in office per week at one of our state-of-the-art offices in Chicago, Kansas City, and New York City. To be eligible for this internship, applicants must be enrolled in a university or college program and should not be scheduled to graduate before December of the year in which the internship takes place. The Corporate Strategy team is hiring for a Corporate Strategy Intern.

Join our Corporate Strategy team that has associates from all different backgrounds and skill sets. You will get the chance to dive into data, research, modeling and competitive analysis to understand the strategic components of a global exchange. Collaborate with industry experts across the company in a fun, dynamic environment, gaining hands-on experience and providing valuable insights. Your responsibilities and learning objectives will be:

• The candidate will have a high level of efficiency, accuracy and responsibility with the ability to manage multiple assignments & priorities, work well on a team, have excellent and demonstrated organizational and communication skills.
• They will work within the Corporate Strategy team and partner with groups across the organization based on actual project.
• Create automated and ad-hoc data analyses that support product and business initiatives.  Collaborate with business teams to build and tailor data sets and data visualizations.
• Build analytical frameworks and conduct analysis on business initiatives including strategic fit, benchmarking, business case development.
• Conduct industry and product research across varying entities, business lines and geographies.
• Provide support for Corporate Strategy team across the development, communication and execution of various corporate strategy objectives

The ideal candidate has:

• The ideal candidate will either be a graduate or undergraduate student with an outstanding record of academic achievement and an interest in the financial markets, pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in finance, Business Strategy, Economics, Data Analysis or a related field and should not be scheduled to graduate before December of the year in which the internship takes place.
• Experience with Python programming and SQL
• Possess strong analytical, quantitative, and research skills
• Ability to handle and prioritize multiple, competing assignments in a dynamic environment.
• Must be detail oriented
• Enthusiastic, energetic, and self-motivated individual with a strong work ethic and willingness to learn
• Must be able to commute to New York, Chicago or Lenexa office location
