1 - First Shift

What You’ll Do

1. Assist in the design and integration of control systems and vehicle electronics using foundational electrical engineering principles.

2. Support the creation and maintenance of electrical schematics using Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools such as Zuken E3 or AutoCAD.

3. Help troubleshoot Controller Area Network (CAN) systems including tools like CANalyzer or Vector CANoe and perform basic diagnostics using multimeters and oscilloscopes.

4. Participate in testing and validation activities using data acquisition and analysis tools such as Dewesoft, MATLAB, or nCode.

5. Contribute to documentation and design tracking using Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems such as Dassault Systems 3DX, including exposure to Engineering Change Notification (ECN) processes.

6. Learn about and support the application of functional safety standards such as ISO 26262 or IEC 61508 in system design and testing.

What We’re Looking For

- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, Agricultural Engineering, or relative equivalent discipline.

- Foundational understanding of electrical engineering principles, especially in control systems and vehicle electronics.

- Exposure to CAD tools (e.g., Zuken E3, AutoCAD), CAN protocols (e.g., SAE J1939), and data acquisition tools (e.g., MATLAB, Dewesoft).

- Interest in learning about functional safety and engineering change processes.

- Willingness to perform hands-on testing and troubleshooting in lab or field environments.

- Strong communication and collaboration skills with a growth mindset.

Travel

- Occasional travel is expected of this position.

Work Location

ONSITE: A team member’s day-to-day work is best done on a Vermeer campus. If work content can be occasionally completed at an offsite location, discuss potential arrangements with your manager.
